A Vision Shaped by the Sea

The owners of Burleigh Pavilion imagined a place that captured the warmth and generosity of Mediterranean hospitality, while remaining unmistakably Burleigh.

Reimagined in 2018, the iconic pavilion became a sun-soaked space inspired by the nostalgia of the Gold Coast in the 1970s. Faded pastels, natural textures and sweeping open spaces were designed around the ocean, never to compete with it.

At its northern end, The Tropic brought that vision to life.

A place for fresh seafood, seasonal produce and plates made to share. Where tables turn towards the ocean, lunch drifts into afternoon and another bottle somehow finds its way to the table.
